14 - Blockchain and Bioethics
Thu, Mar 02
Today we will be considering the intersection of the blockchain with biotechnologies. How might the blockchain change and potentially make the sharing of biomedical data more ethical. We will also consider privacy in relation to blockchain technology.
The learning goals for today are:
- Understand blockchain technologies and their resultant privacy and informational history outputs
- Discover how blockchain might require new consent features for biological data
- Define "prosent" and how it applies to consent to share data using the blockchain
